The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift

During the time when Sean Boswell was learning how to drift, he asks what Han Seoul-Oh drifts for. Han takes Sean on a drive through Tokyo.[1]

At a red light, a silver and metallic purple Nissan Skyline GT-R R33 waits for the light to change when Han's Mazda RX-7 approaches them from ahead. He performs a complete 360 drift around their car. The feat impresses both women, resulting in the exchange of her number.[1]

The 1996 Nissan Skyline GT-R R33 was constructed by Newera Imports. The Skyline was originally bought unmodified and with low mileage. It was later modified in California for use in Tokyo Drift. Two Skylines were constructed for the film; one was featured in the film, the other for filming inside and from the rear. Changes made to the cars were purely cosmetic and feature custom House of Kolor paint job, and unique rims. A set of 19" Volk Racing CE28N forged alloy wheels by RAYS.[2][3]

The Nissan Skyline was outfitted with brakes by Brembo at each corner. The vehicle's Boost is controlled by the standard ECU to 0.84 Bar. The Skyline also includes standard Climate Control A/C, PAS, Central Locking, ABS, velour seats, privacy rear windows, adjustable rear spoiler and an original set of fitted mats, etc. The steering wheel is fitted in combination with a passenger SRS airbag, introduced in 1996.[2][3]
