The Conflict in Rio was a successful mission undertaken by Dante Reyes and Aimes to ambush Dominic Toretto and steal God's Eye.
Background
Following the Rio Street Race, Dante Reyes killed his two hackers and drained the bank accounts of Dominic Toretto's Crew, leaving them with no money to be able to defend themselves against his future attacks and used them to amass a large army of mercenaries and bounty hunters to go after their family members and associates. At the same time, Dominic Toretto and Isabel Neves bonded over the latter's sister Elena Neves, and Isabel shared Elena's old police files on the Reyes family with Dom, revealing that Dante still owned the police station where Dom and Brian stole Hernan Reyes' vault.

Dom went to the police station where he found Dante's vision board, containing various images of Dominic's life and associates he made over the years. He was then contacted by Dante who revealed that had been tracking Dom and his family for over ten years and lamented that his team's heist resulted in Hernan's death and the loss of the Reyes family's wealth and criminal empire. Simultaneously, Dante informed Aimes of Dom's whereabouts, who then arrived with the Agency and apprehended Dom.
The Conflict
Whilst driving on the same bridge where Hernan was killed, the Agency convoy was ambushed by militants working for Dante, immobilizing the convoy and causing mass panic on the bridge. During the attack, all of the Agency operatives were killed in the gunfight against Dante's men. Dante then arrived in his 1966 Chevrolet Impala, revealing that he had kidnapped Isabel and was holding her hostage. As Dante's men continued their attack, Aimes threw Dom a gun, with the two seemingly forming an alliance.
At the same time, Tess arrived and held Dante at gunpoint but she was shot from behind by one of Dante's men in a helicopter. Dante then took the God's Eye chip from Tess and instructed his henchmen to shoot Aimes and Isabel. Aimes was then shot, but Dom was able to pull Isabel out of the way at the last second.
Before leaving, Dante indicated that he was going after Brian Marcos next and fled in the helicopter.
Aftermath
Following the conflict, Dom asked Isabel to take Tess to the hospital, which she obliged with. Aimes then offered an alliance with Dom to go after Dante, with Dom being unaware that Aimes and Dante were in partnership with each other since 2011. Knowing that Dante would be going after Little B and that he was in Portugal with Jakob Toretto, Dom and Aimes planned to intercept Dante's next attack.
