Markham intended to assign him to team up with Brian O'Conner to work undercover and take Carter Verone down. However, Brian tested him by asking him whether a Gallo 12 or a Gallo 24 would be a better motor for his Nissan Skyline, to which Dunn wrongfully answered 24, prompting Brian to choose his own partner instead.
