Earl is a member of Han Seoul-Oh's Crew who tuned for racers, using stand-alone fuel management systems to control fuel and timing. After his ventures in Tokyo, he made a living with his friends in Germany, making rocket engines for various governments and military forces.
Biography[]
The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift[]
Earl was first seen at the Car Park where he assisted Neela with modifying her car for the way she drives. When they try to explain that the way she drove is incorrect, she told them it's her way and they refuse to help her any more.
At some future point, Sean Boswell met them at Han's Garage and they all agree to help him learn how to drift. When Twinkie was beat up at school by Morimoto, they find Sean who broke up the fight. At the docks, Earl assisted Sean when he was attacked by Takeshi for making a move on Neela.
The next night, Earl is at the garage when Han and Sean are forced to flee as Takeshi and Morimoto chase them and Han is killed. The next day, Earl helps them break into the garage but learns that the police have confiscated all of Han's cars. However, Reiko shows them the salvaged remains of the Nissan Silvia S15 Spec-R which has a perfectly intact engine.
Sean, Twinkie, Reiko and Earl use the Nissan Engine as well as the body of Seans Dads Mustang to build a new car which Sean uses to beat Takeshi in the race and become the new Drift King.

Since their venture of Tokyo, Twinkie has found a way to make money by building cars for the world militaries and governments. He, Earl and Sean have since taken residence in Cologne to do this. Whilst working on a Pontiac Fiero with an attached rocket engine, they are met by Roman Pearce and Tej Parker who have been sent by Dominic Toretto as they can supply them with weapons, gear and cars.
The trio show off their rocket powered Fiero and then give a demonstration by having it race a jet that is departing from the military base close by. The trio celebrate that the car works, despite it not beating the plane, however the car then blows up.
Earl alongside Sean helping Tej and Roman go into orbit
When Roman and Tej need to travel to outer space to destroy Otto's satellite, they meet with Sean and Earl again who have since rebuilt the Fiero and after running simulations they attach the car to a plane, flown by Sean, and get it up to 50,000 feet where they launch the car into orbit.
When the gang returns to Los Angeles, the trio join them and sit down to a barbecue where they learn that Han is still alive.

- Jason Tobin also appeared in Justin Lin's film, Better Luck Tomorrow, as Virgil Hu, the cousin to Han Lue (Sung Kang).
- In the deleted scenes for Tokyo Drift, Earl along with Reiko often stole tires for Twinkie.
