After scouring the wreckage of Mr. Nobody's plane, Jakob Toretto obtains an old computer device which he gives a captured Cipher so that she can find the location of the second half of Project Aries. Cipher tracks it down to Edinburgh and Jakob travels there to find it. Using Jakob's biometric prints, Dominic Toretto's Crew are able to track him down and follow him.
Ramsey keeps watch over a Chapel using his biometric prints whilst Roman and Tej arrive in Roman's 2018 Acura NSX. When security systems start failing, Roman makes a guess that a mail truck is the cause and he fights the drivers and discovers a large magnet in the back of the truck which is causing the systems to go haywire. Roman and Tej are forced into the back of the truck and against all odds, Ramsey hijacks the truck with the magnet when she has to chase Otto in his 2019 Jaguar XE.
After recovering the second half of Project Aries, Jakob zippiness from roof to roof with Dom following in his 1968 Dodge Charger 500. Dom eventually climbs onto the top of the roof and throws Jakob into a building where the pair fight. Jakob jumps out of the window onto a bus and Dom follows. Jakob sends his pickup location to Otto but Ramsey uses the truck to run him off the road. Dom tackles Jakob onto the truck and Jakob steals a 2012 Toyota GT86 to flee.
Dom boards the truck, and Ramsey chases after Jakob and activates the magnet to force his car into the truck, capturing him. The team then leave Edinburgh and return to their safe house in the Caspian Sea.
