Biography[]
Foundation[]
After the supposed death of Gisele Yashar during the mission to stop a team of international criminals led by Owen Shaw from completing a Nightshade device, her boyfriend Han Seoul-Oh moved to Tokyo afterwards to honored her promise. Han soon encountered Mr. Nobody, who sought him out due to his connection with Gisele and gave him a mission to recover a device called Project Aries from the home of a scientist couple. After witnessing the couple being killed in a car bomb by operatives sent by Otto, he narrowly saved their daughter, Elle Lue, and it was soon revealed that she was the key to activating Project Aries as her DNA was infused with it.
Afterwards, Han began to raise Elle, while also he established a garage and finding solace in the city's drifting community, eventually establishing his own crew to help with his business operations and street racing ventures. Han also became a business partner to Takashi, a prominent street racer known "Drift King" with ties to the Yakuza.
The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift[]
Han soon encountered an American expat named Sean Boswell, eventually becoming his mentor in street drifting in exchange for doing a series of jobs. Sean soon joined the Han's crew and became romantically evolved with another expat named Neela, much to Takashi's anger.
Taksahi eventually discovered that Han was stealing money from his family, and set out to confront him with Morimoto. After the two arrived at Han's garage, Han fled, forcing Sean and Neela to chase after to protect Han as Takashi and Morimoto pursued them. As they raced through Tokyo, Morimoto attempted to ram Sean's car off the road, only to be killed after having a fatal collision with another vehicle. As Han raced through the Shibuya district, his car was t-boned by Deckard Shaw, who was seeking revenge to Dom's crew for crippling Owen. Sean then watched as Han's car exploded, seemingly killing the latter. Unbeknownst to Sean or any of Han's crew, the Han inside the car was a holographic setup and the real Han was observing the scene with Mr. Nobody, who then tasked Han to stay underground and keep Elle safe after Mr. Nobody discovered that Jakob Toretto, one of his agents and the younger brother of Dominic Toretto, went rogue after being convinced by Otto to help activate Project Aries.
Later, Sean had a meeting with Takashi's uncle, Kamata, who decided to settle Han's score by challenging Takashi to a street drifting race in which the loser had to leave Tokyo forever. After Kamata agreed, the race was set down a mountain, complete with various slopes and dangerous turns. Sean won the race despite Takashi's tactics, with the drifting community and Han's crew mates accepting Sean as the new "Drift King".
F9[]
In the following years, Han's crew mates went their own ways, with Earl, Twinkie, and Sean relocating to Cologne, where they made a living by building rocket engines for the German military and created a prototype rocket-powered Pontiac Fiero. In 2020, they were sought out by Tej Parker and Roman Pearce under Dom's requests, who sought their assistance in their mission to stop Jakob and Otto, from activating Project Aries. They introduced their Pontiac Fiero to Roman and Tej during a test run and celebrated when the car didn't blow, only for it to explode moments later. They later created a new Pontiac for Roman and Tej to use and flew them to a high altitude to reach the satellite and disable it while Dom and the rest of his crew mates dealt with Jakob and Otto on ground during a chase in Tbilisi. After the mission was a success, the trio joined Dom's crew for a barbecue at 1327 several weeks later, where they reunited with Han for the first time in six years and were introduced to Elle.
