Biography[]
J.J. Phillips is an accomplished and award winning theatre, film, and television actor from San Antonio, Texas, residing in New York City. He has performed in countless feature films, TV shows, and commercials, as well as New York and Regional Theatre.
In addition to acting on screen and stage, J.J. has had the opportunity to perform for thousands of people as a performer/announcer at SeaWorld San Antonio. During his tenure at SeaWorld, he hosted several events and large music concerts, including Kumbia All-Stars, Pat Benatar and Bret Michaels. J.J. continues to host and emcee for numerous corporate and private events including the 2008 NCAA Men's Final Four and as the In Arena Host for the San Antonio Stars for the WNBA in 2012.
On stage, J.J. has had the good fortune of flexing his acting muscles in shows like Brighton Beach Memoirs (Eugene), The Boys Next Door (Arnold), Guys and Dolls (Benny), and Metamorphoses to name a few.
J.J. is excited to have had a recurring role on Nashville on ABC, working along side series regulars Connie Britton, Will Chase, Clare Bowen, and Sam Palladio, and with series regulars Tracy Spiradakos and David Lyons in the season 2 premiere of Revolution on NBC. Other credits include The Lying Game and The Affair. J.J. can also be seen sharing the screen with Vin Diesel and Paul Walker in Furious Seven, and will be next seen in The Upside with Bryan Cranston and Kevin Hart.
