Lazaro Alonzo known as Laz Alonso, is an American actor. He portrayed Fenix Calderon in Fast & Furious and Fast & Furious 6.
Biography[]
Alonso began his career hosting shows on the BET network, appearining in music videos for R&B singers Toni Braxton and Aaliyah. The beginning of his career was sustained by minor and supporting roles in films such as Stomp the Yard, Down for Life, Jarhead, G, Leprechaun: Back 2 tha Hood, This Christmas, and Miracle at St. Anna.
In 2009, he played Fenix "Rise" Calderon, the main antagonist in the film Fast & Furious, the fourth film in The Fast and the Furious film series. Alonso had a major role as the Na'vi warrior, Tsu'tey, in James Cameron's science fiction adventure film Avatar.
In 2011, Alonso appeared in the television series, Breakout Kings in the first season and the first episode of its second season. In 2012 he starred in the Meagan Good-headed NBC series, Deception.
Currently, he plays Mother's Milk in The Boys.
