Magdalene "Queenie" Shaw is the matriarch of the Shaw family, the mother to Deckard, Owen and Hattie Shaw. She was originally tracked down by Dominic Toretto during Cipher's revenge plot when he needed her help getting Deckard and Owen on side to save his son from captivity. Queenie obliged in return for getting her family back together.
She was later incarcerated following her crimes catching up to her but was liberated by Deckard and Hattie following the two reuniting. One year later, Dom tracked her down in London when he needed help tracking down his estranged brother, Jakob Toretto, who was working with Otto to steal a device named Project Aries.
At some point afterwards, Queenie presumably joined the Agency, possibly merging her own organization with theirs. Following a terrorist attack in Rome, Queenie arrives to console Dom as he reels from the destruction of the city.
Biography
Early Life
Not much is known about Queenie's early life other than that she married and had three kids with an unknown man who was abusive towards his kids as expressed by her eldest son Deckard Shaw who would "brave the old man's belt" every time he or his brother did something wrong. Queenie and her husband presumably ran a life of crime leading to their kids to follow in their footsteps before eventually going off on their own directions, with Queenie being a central contact between their family and the outside world.
Meeting Dominic Toretto

In 2017, Queenie was contacted by Dominic Toretto who requested a meetup. Queenie met Dom in a pub whilst evading Cipher's watchful eye and requests the help of both of her sons to help rescue his son from Cipher. Queenie was at first adamant as Dom is the reason she lost both of her sons to the authorities but agreed to help.
Dom gave Queenie a watch that can control Cipher's plane and the location of the blacksite where Owen is being held for his crimes before leaving her. Queenie contacted Deckard and informs him of the plan and she then joins forces with Tego Leo and Rico Santos, posing as ambulance drivers who collect Deckard's body off the ground after he was incapacitated by Dom, faking his death.
Whilst in the ambulance, Queenie revived Deckard and gave him the watch and Owen's location so that he can break him out and go after Cipher, who was cause for Owen's downfall after emplying him to steal Nightshade.[3]
Arrest and Escape

Within the next two years, Queenie's crimes caught up to her and she was incarcerated, although she attempted escape multiple times. Whilst in prison, she is visited by Deckard, who informs her that her skills must have waned if she cannot successfully break out of such a facility, only for her to notify her son that she is comfortable within prison, considering it a form of retirement, although quickly adding that her liberation would be much easier if Deckard brought her a birthday cake with a nail file hidden inside of it.
She then mentions how she wishes Deckard would visit her one day with his sister Hattie, as Hattie had cut off her family members after they turned to a life of crime. In the aftermath of the Battle of Samoa, in which Hattie and Deckard rekindle their familial bond, they pay Magdalene a visit in prison, where Deckard delivers Queenie a cake. Realizing that there is a nail file hidden within, she asks if her two children would assist in her escape, prompting Hattie to deliver her usual pre-combat line.[4]
Queenie claimed to have been released for "good behavior" when others asked. However, this good behavior didn't last long as she eventually returned to a life of crime, even assisting Leysa Mirtha in forming an all-female paramilitary group.

Queenie flees with Dom
Whilst heisting an expensive necklace from a store on New Bond Street in London, she is met by Dom who was waiting for her. He asks her for information regarding his brother, Jakob, and she steals a 2018 Noble M600, offering Dom 15% if he drives. Dom declines the opportunity, claiming his thieving days are over, so Queenie takes the wheel.
Whilst evading the police, Queenie informs Dom that a group led by an American had recently arrived in London, and that the necklace she stole was for the group. She reveals that the group also was after information on Dom, information she did not give them. She successfully evades the police and drops Dom off at a party at Otto's family mansion which is being hosted by Otto and Jakob. She warns Dom of the dangers of turning his love of family into anger and resentment before driving off.
Dante Reyes' Revenge
Meeting Dom in Rome

Following the Attack in Rome, Queenie arrives to comfort Dom after Letty is arrested and he and his team are all framed as terrorists. Dom asks Queenie to deliver a message to Mr. Nobody, however she claims she can't do that as Mr. Nobody has pulled one of his "disappearing acts" and his current whereabouts are, or whether he is alive is, unknown. She then warns Dom of the impending danger that is coming from Dante Reyes.
Tracked by Dante
Dante later begins tracking members of Dom's family and any allies, including Queenie. When Deckard discovers that his mother is a target, he sets off to find her and keep her out of harm's way.
Personality
Magdalene, despite her formidable reputation, is a woman who puts family above all else and seeks to put her family back together. She has encouraged Deckard on two separate occasions to reconcile with his younger siblings and angrily slapped Deckard when he claimed Owen was a 'lost cause.' She is also not above manipulating Deckard into doing what she wants such as faking tears to get him to help Owen.
She is also quite forgiving. Despite his history with her sons, Magdalene did forgive Dom because not only did he help her find Owen thus reconciling her two sons, but understood they fought for the same reasons: Family. She even said Dom was her favorite American.
