Otto's Private Army was a private army and paramilitary organization led by Otto and his former business partner, Jakob Toretto.

History

Formation

Otto's agents storm the scientists' house

Otto was the son of a wealthy head of state and the formation date of his private army is unknown. At some point, he sought to steal a powerful weapon called Project Aries. He met Dominic and Mia's brother, Jakob, who was working for Mr. Nobody at the time, and they established a partnership to steal Project Aries. They sent operatives to kill the creators of the device and almost killed their daughter, Elle Lue. However, she was saved by Han Seoul-Oh, who was on a mission to secure Project Aries and deliver it to Mr. Nobody. After learning Jakob went rogue, Mr. Nobody faked Han's death so that he could keep Elle, who was the key to activating the device, hidden. Mr. Nobody also split the device in half and kept them separated.

2020

Jakob Toretto reunites with Otto

Otto funded the operation using his father's money while being a superior and financial supplier. Jakob and Otto's agents infiltrated Mr. Nobody's plane, which was transporting an apprehended Cipher to prison, and crashed the plane in Montequinto before extracting Cipher so they could use her to find Project Aries and keep her out of their way. Dom's Crew infiltrated the crash site and unlocked a case containing one-half of Project Aries, but Jakob interfered, stole the half, and returned to his partner's Base of Operations in London.

He later conspired with Otto to get Dom apprehended by Interpol, but Dom was freed when it was revealed the Interpol agents were a paramilitary team led by Leysa, an old acquaintance of Dom. Otto and Jakob went to Edinburgh and stole the second half from Mr. Nobody's vault within the chapel, with four agents in a disguised delivery truck with magnets inside, but Tej and Roman defeated them. Otto managed to escape, but Jakob was apprehended by Ramsey.

Otto helped free Jakob at the Caspian Sea Bunker with Sue and his mercenaries, who were unaware that Otto changed allegiances to work with Cipher instead. As some of the mercenaries remained to kill Dom and his crew, they failed and most of them were killed. After arriving in Tbilisi, Otto and Jakob launched a satellite into space and began uploading Project Aries to it. Dom's team successfully rescued Elle and took out most of Otto's men, including Sue. As they traveled through Tbilisi in The Armadillo, Otto turned on Jakob and tasked Sue to kill him, but Jakob escaped and changed sides back to his family. With the team's combined efforts, Otto was killed and they once again stopped Cipher by blowing up Otto’s jet with the Armadillo. However, it was revealed that Cipher was flying on a computer simulator and escaped once more. After the Project Aries mission, the organization was likely disbanded and the remaining operatives were either arrested by the authorities or integrated into Cipher's Syndicate.
