Samantha Hobbs[1] is the daughter of Luke Hobbs. She is a minor character in Furious 7 and The Fate of the Furious.
Biography
Furious 7
When Hobbs is hospitalized for injuries sustained in his fight with Deckard Shaw, Samantha is brought to the hospital to see her father. She presumably remains with him until the morning. She meets Dominic Toretto, who visited the hospital after he was contacted by Elena Neves. When her father brings up sponge baths, she protests the very mention.
Hobbs introduces Samantha to a very confused Dominic, who was unaware that Hobbs had familial connections. Not intimidated by Dominic, Samantha boasts Hobbs beat Dominic in a fight.[note 1] Dominic assures her that Hobbs's recollection is muddled by the painkillers he's likely on. Samantha challengingly dismisses that as she is then escorted from the hospital room by Elena.[1]
Later, when Dominic and his crew return to Los Angeles, one of the radio towers in the city is destroyed by Mose Jakande. Samantha takes notice of her father, who mentions Dominic by name and breaks the cast on his arm. Once he's dressed and armed, Samantha gives her father a fist bump for the road.[1]
Trivia
- Samantha Hobbs may be eleven years old, the same age as her actress was at the time of the premiere (April 2015) of Furious 7.[2] Actress, Eden Estrella, mentions in an interview that she was nine years of age during the time of filming (October 2013).[3]
