- "Bad doesn't even come close to the apocalyptic catastrophe that Skeleton Key could unleash upon humanity. A person with that kind of power could commandeer entire armies with the wave of a hand. They could rain down fiery vengeance on anyone from anywhere at anytime! Skeleton Key could turn a mere mortal into an all-powerful god!"
- ―Gary
The Skeleton Key is a helmet capable of allowing its user to control any technological device within its radius, although its range can be amplified worldwide. It was created by the parents of Shashi Dhar.
History[]
- "My mother and father believed that if they came to America and worked hard, they could use their talents to create a better life and a better world. They were geniuses, but they were naive. They trusted five rich men who used their minds to create Skeleton Key. It was technology decades ahead of its time, able to control anything computerized. The men knew they had discovered something invaluable. They also knew they couldn't trust each other. So they built this vault to lock it away, made five keys to keep it safe, and then killed the only other people who knew about it."
- ―Shashi Dhar to Tony Toretto
The parents of Shashi Dhar emigrated to the United States believing they could use their intelligence to build a better life for themselves as well as a better world. Financed by five billionaires, including Cleve Kelso and Delwyn Usk, Shashi's parents created Skeleton Key, a helmet capable of controlling any technological or computerized device within its radius, with the potential for its range to be amplified to a worldwide extent.
The five men decided to keep Skeleton Key's existence a secret and wished to use the device exclusively, and thus decided to murder Shashi's parents. While Cleve killed them and wished to kill Shashi as well, he was convinced not to by the other four men, who were uncomfortable with murdering a child. The five men used Skeleton Key to increase their fortunes, but not trusting one another to keep the helmet in their custody when not in use, the five built an underground vault to house the weapon, a vault that could only be opened by five keys, implanted in five supercars that each of the five men owned.
Sixteen years later, Shashi underwent a campaign to steal all five supercars and used them to unlock the vault and gain Skeleton Key for himself. With the helmet, Shashi disabled the army who was pursuing him by taking over their drones and crashing their helicopters.[1] He then headed to Las Vegas and stole Cleve's money from his casinos, redistributing them to the people on the streets. Shashi then used Skeleton Key to access every camera on the Las Vegas Strip to locate Cleve and controlled drones to restrain him.
Shashi lost possession of Skeleton Key during a fight with Tony Toretto, who briefly used it during his fight with Shashi to control drones. Keeping the helmet for himself and updating its appearance from a dark red, menacing look to a cheerful one with a smile and blue aura, Tony used Skeleton Key to control and steal Ms. Nowhere's jet, using it to fly himself and his crew on a personal vacation.[2]
