Ted Gassner[1] is a fence and a minor character in The Fast and the Furious.
Biography
The Fast and the Furious
Ted worked as a fence for Johnny Tran and Lance Nguyen, procuring stolen goods for their specific needs. Prior to Race Wars, he was told by Tran to procure several Nissan SR20 engines for their Honda S2000s. However, he was either unable to or refused to remove the engines from the warehouse they were brought to.
Ted returns to the garage with Tran and Lance during Brian O'Conner, Dominic Toretto and Vince's investigation into Trans garage. Tran and Lance interrogate Ted about why their Honda S2000s are missing the premium Nissan SRT20 engines.
They then proceed to torture him for information by guzzling oil into his mouth, unaware of the third party witnessing the event. Ted eventually tells Tran and his cousin that the engines were in the warehouse.
Ted is later arrested for his involvement with Tran and his associates.
Trivia
- Tran's reasoning to resort to a fence to obtain legally sold engines makes little sense as Nissan SR20 premium engines can be bought legally in the United States.
