Summary[]

On the run and facing a shortage of money, the crew turns to what they do best-racing!-to earn enough cash to get them to Mexico City.

Plot[]

Somewhere in Mexico, Ms. Nowhere is still fuming over the fact that someone made it look like they robbed spy headquarters at an event in her honor. Froste then pipes up by saying that if they can find the footage from the night of the attack, he might be able to analyze it and figure out what actually happened.

In the meantime, they realize that they need to find a place to lay low. Ms. Nowhere once again brings up how as far as she is concerned, Uncle Tuco is the only x factor in the whole equation because he wasn’t invited to her party. Layla also points out how Tuco did conveniently disappear right before the attack. She further mentions how thanks to Cisco’s big mouth, he also knows everything about them. Cisco sticks up for his uncle, and says his Uncle Tuco would never betray them like that.

Eventually, they decide to go to Mexico City to confront Tuco and ask him what he knows about their current situation. But before they can do that, Ms. Nowhere admits they need some cash and additional supplies. Frostee suggests they sell their stolen helicopter, but Ms. Nowhere is adamantly against. Her reasoning being that you never know when one might need a spare helicopter for added leverage.

Elsewhere, Palindrome mentions how Ms. Nowhere is the highest-value target he has had to chase down in a long time. He then explains how he tried to interrogate Frostee’s associate, about Ms.Nowhere and her team, but she just wouldn’t crack.

Sometime earlier, Palindrome asks Sissy to talk now that they have finished their tea, but Sissy explains that Mrs. Pepperpants hasn’t finished her tea. An irritated Palindrome then explains to Gary and Julius that Mrs. Pepperpants never finished her tea.

Julius eventually tells Palindrome in this episode that Ms. Nowhere is a Saggitarius, but reads more Scorpio due to her resourceful yet distrustful nature. Ms. Nowhere’s favorite color is khaki. Gary interjects saying it used to be khaki but now it’s black. Further questioning her former employees, Palindrome finds out one of Ms. Nowhere’s safehouses.

Just as Ms. Nowhere, Tony and his crew arrive at her safe house, an alarm lets them know they have unwanted visitors.

Quickly, Ms. Nowhere decides she will go outside and distract Palindrome, while everyone else disables his transport and gets the supply bags in the hauler without making a peep.

Ms. Nowhere and Palindrome engage in some trash talk as everyone else gets back in their cloaked vehicle. Gary asks Ms. Nowhere to turn herself in, but she refuses. Layla and Echo are unsuccessful in disabling Palindrome’s vehicle, as it begins beeping once an EMP is installed. He throws some unknown device onto it, and this in turn causes the cloaking for the two girls and the gang’s vehicle to become visible. Palindrome yells at them to give up as it's the smart play, but Tony gets his car out and yells out that they don’t do smart. Ms. Nowhere is able to jump onto the hood of Tony’s car and they manage to get away. Unfortunately, they lose their cash, and only get away with two bags of pork pies.

Knowing they have to get their hands dirty if they want to earn some cash, Layla takes her friends to Manny a former SH1FT3R associate. He agrees to help them as long as they participate in a circuit in Ensenada that is run by a couple of his competitors. If they win, they can keep the cash prize. He also wants them to pull a heist and get a list of the racers’ names for him. However, before he will say anything more, he needs some assurances that they will give him what he wants since Layla’s got a bit of a reputation as a double-crosser. The former SH1FT3R member demands they text him the list in 48 hours, or he will contact a certain agency about some fugitives he recently came in contact with.

On their way to Ensenada, Layla remarks that if they win this upcoming race, they will have enough money to make the 1,700 miles journey to Mexico City and ultimately find out who framed them.

Cisco continues to defend his Uncle Tuco, saying it couldn’t have been him. But Echo for her park, points out that good detective work is as much about clearing the suspects as it is about finding them.

As it turns out, the ones running the Ensenada race are none other than Nacho and Rollie, who Layla is not too happy to see again. She tells the duo how she was just passing through town and dropped by for some fun. But Rollie immediately calls her a snitch. Layla is able to get her anger under control, and asks the two of them if they have a spot available in their race. They don’t give her a straight answer immediately; instead asking her if she has enough for the cash buy-in. They further reveal that the crew will also need a food truck for the demolition derby. Luckily, the gang is able to trade their stolen chopper for a food truck and the buy-in to participate in the race. The duo agrees and Tony and his friends are able to participate in the aforementioned race.

Nacho and Rollie then explain that the winning team of the whole event gets the cash pot, but the losers have to forfeit their cars.

In just the first lap, two cars are immediately out of the race, and eventually it ends up coming down to Layla and Tony. Rollie claims Tony won, but Nacho retorts that she’s only saying that because she’s in love with him. Then Nacho states it was Layla who won the race, but Rollie points out, he is only saying that because he is in love with Layla.

On their way to retrieve the list from Rollie and Nacho, Ms. Nowhere and Frostee comes in contact with Roscoe, a dog hanging around the van. She initially mistakes the dog for a vicious guard dog, but he is ultimately really friendly. Quite easily, Ms. Nowhere and Frostee successfully finds the list of racers and Frostee takes a picture of it to send to Manny.

Later, Echo and Cisco are able to successfully win their parts in the race, and the gang walks away with their money.

In Mexico City, an alarm rings in a museum as the mysterious agents who previously fought with Tony and his crew break in.
