Wilkes was a DSS federal agent, designated marksman, and member of Luke Hobbs' Team, tasked with capturing then wanted fugitives Dominic Toretto and Brian O'Conner. After apprehending Dom, Brian, Mia and Vince, the team was ambushed by Hernan Reyes' henchmen, led by Zizi. One of them fired a rocket at Wilkes' vehicle, killing him and his teammates with the exception of Hobbs.

Rio Mission[]
Wilkes was a DSS agent and marksman who was sent to Rio de Janeiro with fellow DSS agents Chato, Fusco, and Macroy to apprehend fugitives Dominic Toretto and Brian O'Conner to extradite them back to the United States for imprisonment. After being debriefed by lead agent Luke Hobbs about their mission, Chato and his teammates prepared themselves with their equipment and saddled up to hunt down Dominic and his crew.
Wilkes was present during the subsequent chase and killed Reyes' men alongside his fellow agents. He also accompanied Hobbs to the 'meeting' with Toretto and after being threatened by Dom's fellow Brazilian street racers, he and the team leave, but not before Tej Parker placed a tracking device on their trucks. After the tracking signal was reversed, Wilkes and the rest of Hobbs team turned up at the garage to arrest Mia Toretto, Vince, Brian and Dom.
Ambush in Rocinha[]
After arresting Dominic, Mia, Brian, and Vince, Wilkes and his teammates drove through the favelas to the airport in preparation for their return to the United States. However, as they traveled, the DSS convoy was ambushed by Zizi and other militants under Hernan's orders. With Fusco injured after his truck was flipped by a missile attack. Wilkes aided in taking out their attackers and put up a good fight until he was killed alongside Macroy in a missile attack. Soon after, Fusco and Chato were also killed, leaving Hobbs as the sole survivor after Dom and his crew convinced Elena to release them to take out the militants.
Legacy[]
After the death of Wilkes and his teammates, Hobbs decided to temporarily put his differences aside with Dominic and his crew to join them in their heist in exchange for killing Hernan to avenge Wilkes and their fallen teammates, with Elena also supporting the crew. After Dom and Brian stole the vault from a police station owned by Hernan and a lengthy chase through the streets of Rio that resulted in several instances of collateral damage, Dominic and Brian took out a contingent of corrupt cops and Reyes' remaining men with the vault, which culminated in Hobbs shooting the severely injured Hernan dead in the name of his team after a final showdown on a bridge.
